Average global ocean reflectance

by jjbb » Fri Apr 09, 2021 3:38 pm America/New_York

Are there any existing data products where the average (time and space) spectral global ocean reflectance has been determined?

Yes :D . We distribute global binned and mapped remote sensing reflectance (Rrs) products for each of the missions we support. The products are by wavelength. The currently supported global missions are multispectral. The binned files contain all the wavelengths for a sensor, while the mapped data (which is easier to work with) is one file per wavelength. These Level 3 binned and mapped products can be obtained from our Level 3 browser. The spatial resolution is either 4km or 9km with temporal resolutions from daily, weekly (well 8 day "weeks"), monthly, seasonal, annual and mission long composites.

Regards,
Sean
