l2gen Products tab

by vito609 » Wed Jun 02, 2021 5:56 am America/New_York

Hello.

I installed SeaDAS and OCSSW on a new computer with Ubuntu as its system. Everything is fine, however when I tried to use the l2gen processor and select the necessary products that I needed, I noticed there are missing products.

rhot is only available up to 678 but I needed up to NIR band. I also needed some of the products in Miscellaneous such as latitude and longitude.

I was able to select them previously in my other computer.

How do I resolve this?

Thank you.

On my Mac, "l2gen -> products" tab has all 24 bands of rhot.

Can you do "SeaDAS-OCSSW -> SeaDAS/System Info" and post the output here?

Yes, the l2gen processor I previously installed and used in another computer has rhot for all the 24 bands and also has miscellaneous products. However, when I installed it in a similar manner on another computer, I encounter the case I present now.

You have OCSSW V2020.1 on your current computer. I wonder what version of OCSSW you used on your other computer.

Also, can you show me your Main tab? I would check if your ifile, geofile, ofile fields are populated correctly.

Hello. The OCSSW version of my previous computer is the same to what I'm using now.

Here a pic of the main tab of l2gen:

Strange, I get all of the wavelengths for rhot and I am using Ububtu 20.04 with SeaDAS 8.0.0 and OCSSW V2020.1.

If you select the rhot checkbox (not the individual wavelengths), you will note that rhot_nnn is added to the "Selected Products" box at the bottom of the window. That will make l2gen output all the wavelengths for rhot even if the GUI does not show them.

When I select rhot, or try to type rhot_nnn in the products tab, it defaults to rhot_vvv.

What other checks can I do to find what is causing the problem?

Do you have all of the wavelengths checked in the "Wavelength Limiter"?

Yes, I have all the wavelengths checked.

I installed the processors through SeaDAS GUI with Install/Update OC Processors and update_luts. Maybe there is something wrong with the installation. What can I do differently when I reinstall to fix the l2gen problem? The only difference I can see is that I'm currently using Ubuntu 20.04 while on my previous computer I used Ubuntu 16.04.
