SeaDAS OCSSW WSL install

by lq17865155322 » Sun Jul 04, 2021 8:17 am America/New_York

Hello Everyone,
I followed the SeaDAS-OCSSW Client Server Configuration tutorial(https://seadas.gsfc.nasa.gov/client_server/) to install OCSSW on WSL2. OCSSW can run successfully, but when configuring OCSSW on the SeaDAS client, the error "Log file directory is not accessible to write" appears.

I want to know where is the directory of "Log file"? Or is my problem elsewhere?

Thank you!

WSL means the original WSL. You might be able to use WSL2 with a version of the VM configuration.

Hi there,

It seems there is an exception resulted from the connection to the OCSSW server. Please add "seadas.log.dir" property in the ~/.seadas8/etc/seadas.properties file and set the value to a directory path that you want to save the log messages. In setting the property/value pair, you can follow the example of other properties in the same file.

When this works properly, please post the log file content so that we can examine the possible causes of the problem.

Thanks,
Aynur
