Exporting Ocean Color Chlorophyll data

by indeever » Tue Jul 06, 2021 4:59 pm America/New_York

Hello,
I was wondering how I could download/export the MERIS Chlorophyll page as a CSV file?
https://oceancolor.gsfc.nasa.gov/cgi/br ... =0&dnm=D@M
Is there a way to get the chlorophyll concentration values behind the colors on the image?

Thanks

This may help. In SeaDAS, there is a pixel extraction tool. Menu > Raster > Extract > Extract Pixel Values. This tool extracts pixels from a raster grid around a placed pin in the GUI view window (or a set of pins). You can adjust the extraction grid size as well as set flags. This tool will extract ALL bands from your file as (column) entries in the exported text file, so if you only want the chlor_a band, you can delete the other bands in your file prior to extraction.
