Some HawkEye data not downloadable

by wang2579 » Fri Jul 30, 2021 4:49 pm America/New_York

Start to download some new HawkEye data using 2 web tools:
(1) OceanColor Data Browser (2) Direct Data Access

From Data Browser, there are only 3 L1A image granules for Feb 04, 2021. Meanwhile,
Direct Data Access has total 5 L1A files ready for download on the same day.

However, those 2 additional data files are not downloadable (just always got empty files).
Are they not on the same disk ? Any other ways to efficiently download those listed files ?

Wish to know a reliable batch download method to access those multiple files.

Thanks for helping !

Wang

Another example is Feb 06,2021:

Data Direct Access has two L1A files with large file size
But only SEAHAWK1_HAWKEYE.20210206T222928.L1A.nc can be downloaded with full size.
Another SEAHAWK1_HAWKEYE.20210206T222927.L1A.nc is always empty.

Seems above two files are not visible in Data Browser for download.

You may have noticed that there was a one second difference in the time element of the filename.
Some of the data prior to the commissioning date were reprocessed (code changes to address issues) and this reprocessing resulted in a slightly different start time (and thus filename). When a file is reprocessed, it *usually* replaces the database record for the file it replaces. In these cases, that one second difference resulted in the record not being replaced...a subsequent process deleted the previous file, but the record of it is still in the database...so you see files that you cannot download (since they no longer exist). We will clean up these vestigial database records.

Regards,
Sean
