Solar Irradiance for equator facing tilted surfaces

by EarthdataForumContributor » Tue Jan 07, 2020 10:59 am America/New_York

We have been using the Power Data Access Viewer for the design of solar power supplies for our marine aids to navigation. Recently the "Solar Irradiance for equator tilted surfaces" option has not been providing an output. Appreciate if you can advise whether this is due to user error or if there is an issue with the viewer.

On Jan 7, 2020 the POWER team replied

We regret that the current system was found to contain inconsistencies in the tilted irradiance set of surfaces between 23.5 N to 23.5 S. Those are no longer provided at this time. Corrections to these estimations will be made publicly available in the future.
