How is validation between platform and instrument managed in submissions to the CMR?

CMR validates platforms and instruments independently against the Keyword Management System (KMS). Correct parings are not enforced, although those relationships do exist in KMS. There is an approved (but not yet worked) ticket to add Platform/Instrument relationship validation to CMR (https://bugs.earthdata.nasa.gov/browse/CMR-5335) that would return a warning if the platform and instrument aren't a matching pair in the KMS.
