Hello. My initial answer would be to examine atmospheric chemistry species indicative of industrial emissions, such as nitrogen dioxide (NO2), sulfur dioxide (SO2), carbon monoxide (CO), methane (CH4), carbon dioxide (CO2), and tropospheric ozone (O3). Also, indicators of air quality, like atmospheric optical depth (AOD), could be useful.

Here's a good article about how to find, download, and visualize TROPOMI and OMI Nitrogen Dioxide (NO2) data from NASA Earthdata Search and visualize in Worldview or Giovanni:

https://earthdata.nasa.gov/learn/articl ... -no2-data
