I am currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering at The University of the West Indies. For my Final Year Project, I am required to use data of the Daily & Hourly Solar Flux Values (MJ/m^2) For Trinidad & Tobago for the Year of 2019 and I am writing to inquire if you can provide this information. It would be greatly appreciated.

The Prediction of Worldwide Energy Resource (POWER) project customizes NASA produced research data sets containing solar, meteorological and other information for applications in the energy (including renewable energy technologies and building energy efficiency) and agricultural sectors. The purpose of this list is to provide information regarding significant changes to data parameters and/or web capabilities that might impact the usage of these data for these and additional applications as the user requires.

Under this list we also welcome former users of the Surface Meteorological and Solar Energy (SSE) web site. The POWER team has endeavored to combine the data and capabilities of this web site that mainly provided climatologically averaged data products with the low latency time series features that have been featured the last several years. In June 2018, the new POWER data web portal (https://power.larc.nasa.gov), with enhanced capabilities, became publicly available with greatly enhanced capabilities to facilitate access to NASA's solar insolation and meteorological data parameters with data parameterized customized for the Renewable Energy, Sustainable Buildings and Agroclimatology application communities. The new POWER data archive offers all parameters on a ½ x ½ degree global grid through a GIS-enabled Data Access Viewer (DAV), ArcGIS Image Services, and an Application Program Interface (API) service that provides data in a number of formats including CSV, ASCII, JSON, ICASA, NetCDF, and geoTIFF.

The POWER data portal provides access to surface solar energy parameters as customized and validated from NASA/GEWEX Surface Radiation Budget project (https://gewex-srb.larc.nasa.gov ) and the CERES (Clouds and Earth's Radiant Energy System) low latency FLASHFlux data set. The meteorological parameters are now based upon data from NASA's MERRA-2 (Modern Era Reanalysis-assimilation for Research and Applications) atmospheric reanalysis.

The data obtained from NASA's POWER website are public domain and free of any charges or fees. You may use them in your research, publications, and commercial applications with the request that you acknowledge usage (https://power.larc.nasa.gov/).

Here are "Quick Start" instructions for accessing solar and meteorological data.

Solar and meteorological parameters can be accessed in the POWER web site via the Data Access Viewer (DAV) https://power.larc.nasa.gov/data-access-viewer/. When the DAV page opens you may click the “Access Data” box and/or check the “Do not show ...” box to avoid loading the splash Page on subsequent visits.
1. In the DAV page that is now visible, in Section 1 select "SSE-Renewable Energy" or "Sustainable Buildings" or "Agroclimatology".
2. Section 2. Select "Daily", or "Interannual, or Climatology.
3. Section 3. Enter the site latitude and longitude.
4. In Section 4, Select the Time Extent (Enter Start time and End time).
5. In Section 5, Select Output File Format of your choice.
6. In Section 6, Select Folders of your choice pertaining to your research.
The parameters that are available for the Select User Community and Time Extent are listed in Parameters Folders. Each folder can be opened by clicking on the intersection of the horizontal and vertical branch associated with each folder. Individual data parameters are selected/deselected by clicking on each parameters or all parameters in a folder can be selected/deselected by clicking on the folder itself.
7. Click the “Submit” button in Section 7. The resulting page will provide time series plots of the selected data parameters. To download data in the previously selected format click the appropriate box under the "Output Files".

Since it is nasa gov site can i put url as reference if it is okay to use in my thesis?
