Earth's changing E.M. Field

by chlyde » Sat Jul 11, 2020 1:03 am America/New_York

Hi,
I'd like to know the masses of :
1. Earth's;
2. Inner and outer cores';
3. The Electromagnetic Clusters;
4. Relative position of Earth's E.M. Clusters; and
5. What you can offer on Earth's changing E.M. Field.
I would appreciate it.

Hi Chlyde,

While we appreciate your questions, they are outside the scope of our forum. I've provided some answers and resources that were from general searches, so you may have much of this information already.

I'd like to know the masses of :
1. Earth's; 5.972 × 10^24 kg
2. Inner and outer cores'; core weighs in at 657 billion trillion kilograms (724 million trillion tons)
3. The Electromagnetic Clusters; https://sci.esa.int/web/cluster/-/31313 ... etic-field
4. Relative position of Earth's E.M. Clusters;
https://sos.noaa.gov/datasets/earths-ma ... s-needles/
5. What you can offer on Earth's changing E.M. Field. https://web.ua.es/docivis/magnet/earths ... ield2.html

Hope this information is helpful!

Hi Clyde,

We have information from the Crustal Dynamics Data Information System (CDDIS) that archives Space Geodesy data, and 4 additional Data Active Archive Centers (DAACs) - ASDC, GESC, GHRC, and LP, however EOSDIS doesn't contain this data. https://earthdata.nasa.gov/eosdis/daacs

I was able to find some interesting threads on electromagnetic fields and waves on the physics forum
https://www.physicsforums.com/#physics.9
https://www.physicsforums.com/threads/e ... ve.961752/

Information regarding Earth's mass and how to calculate it:
https://forums.space.com
https://forums.space.com/threads/how-to ... *****.27468/

Also, information on substorms and magnetic reconnection with missions THEMIS and ARTEMIS:
https://www.nasa.gov/mission_pages/them ... index.html

We do appreciate your visit, and will be expanding our resources in the near future to include LAADS and OB DAACs. Please check back!
