Now that MERRA2 is available, does anybody know when does MERRA is going to be discontinued?

GMAO had stopped production of MERRA on Feb 29, 2016. The final data granules have been archived and are available to the public. [Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC)] will be maintaining the MERRA data set until further notice (in discussions [they] think at least a year and a half).

I hope this provides the answer you were looking for. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to ask.
