Does the ASDC provide data for earth temperature readings starting in 1979? A user says that they are able to find the data using "NOAA-NWS-Data," but they have not been able to find the data through NASA. I thought SSE would be the right place to look, but that data only goes back to 1983.

Daily averaged values of the earth skin temperature are available from 1981 to within approximately one month of real time at https://power.larc.nasa.gov.
