2005 Ocean Color Team Meeting

Members of the Ocean Color Community:

Last month NASA announced the dates of the next Ocean Color Research Team Meeting (12-14 April 2005). The meeting will be held in Portland, Oregon, USA. The venue will be the Hilton Portland and Executive Towers in Portland, Oregon. Hotel reservations for the meeting can be made in one of three ways:

On-line Reservations (best for outside the U.S. attendees):

Go to (http://www.hilton.com]
Choose Portland, Oregon
Choose Hilton Portland & Executive Tower
Under ìCheck Availabilityî select check-in and check-out dates and click ìGoî
Choose your preferences and in the Group/Convention Code, type NAS
Under Rooms & Rates, you will see NASA OCRT and the rate should be $93.00/single and $113.00/double plus tax.
Continue to follow all the steps and enter your payment information
Once you have completed all steps, you will receive a confirmation number


By Phone through Hilton Central Reservations (from within the U.S.):

Call 1-800-HILTONS (1-800-445-8667) and ask for Hilton Portland & Executive Tower
Provide your checkin date and either the Group SRP Code of ìNASî, or refer to the NASA OCRT room block.
Confirm that you are receiving the $93.00/single or $113.00/double rate plus tax and proceed from there


By calling the Hilton Portland & Executive Tower directly (from within the U.S.):

Call 503-226-1611
Press ì1î for room reservations
Provide your check-in date and either the Group SRP Code of ìNASî, or refer to the NASA OCRT room block.
Confirm that you are receiving the $93.00/single or $113.00/double rate plus tax and proceed from there

The deadline for making hotel reservations is 11 March 2005. After this date the block of rooms will be released and the rate will increase.

A formal meeting agenda will follow in the next month. Thank you to everyone who has sent suggestions for agenda topics, suggestions are still welcome.

A web site for registration and other information is currently being designed and should be available in January.
