SeaWiFS Orbit Raising

this is to inform the ocean color community and in particular, the users of seawifs data, of the planned maneuver of the spacecraft that carries the seawifs instrument to raise the orbit to reverse the drift of the spacecraft that has been moving it to later in the afternoon as the mission has gone on well beyond its expected five year duration.  this maneuver is currently planned to start as early as next week and i will send out a further announcement once the schedule has been finalized.  the sensor will be stowed during the entire maneuver so there will be no data collected.  the current schedule calls for the maneuvers to take place between 28 june - 12 july 2010.
