The GES DISC is requesting the addition of two keywords to enable new MERRA-2 Ocean data.

New Platform:

New Project:

Hi Scott - I don't see the Long Name for GEOS. Am I looking at the wrong entry?

Hi Carlie, the keyword is in KMS and the GCMD Keyword Viewer. I am checking into MMT.

It doesn't appear to have the Short Name or Long Name. The data provider cannot use the GEOS-4 or GEOS-5.

Carlie, the issue is that I added "GEOS" as the Sub_Category and arranged the more detailed models under that. Would you like me to add "GEOS" as its own model? In this case, is GEOS being used to describe that whole series of models or a specific stand-along model?

I see the confusion now.
It could either be a stand alone model as:
Other > Models > GEOS > Goddard Earth Observing System

Or I could also see having a Sub Category called GEOS, then have an unnumbered/unnamed GEOS underneath, next to GEOS-4, GEOS-5, GEOS-Chem:
Other > Models > GEOS > GEOS > Goddard Earth Observing System
