planning to reprocess large volumes of data according to R2022, I am wondering if the current SeaDAS is consistent with that reprocessing. Presently I have SeaDAS 8.2 installed (with the V2022.0 option), but the default options still seems to indicate the use of the single-scattering epsilon for 'l2gen' and 'getanc' still returns NCEP/TOMS type of MET data. From the page about reprocessing R2022 (https://oceancolor.gsfc.nasa.gov/reprocessing/r2022/olci/) accessed from https://oceancolor.gsfc.nasa.gov/reprocessing/ , I understood that there is a switch to a multiple-scattering epsilon and the use of MERRA ancillary data (among other things). Is it just that I need to wait for a new release of SeaDAS (having a tentative date would be great for planning), or is it that I should use different set-up's in order to be consistent with R2022 ? thanks a lot for your answer. We've now switched to R2022.4. As reprocessing deals with one mission after the other, is there a page where this SeaDAS tag evolution can be followed, to avoid disturbing you ?

Once the reprocessing is complete, does a new V version get made?
I see R2022.14 now, so should I be using this and not R2022.7 listed in the post or the R2022.12 mentioned in the email? Is it always the case that we need to chase the R updates prior to the operational V versions being released. How do we determine when to switch? Should I switch from a V version to a newer T or R version? If yes, should it be to a T or R versions?
I believe that we are on all the mailing lists, but don't see the roll outs of the T versions either?
For instance. are these 2 the same? If not, why not? And how can I tell by just glancing at the --list_tags ouput?

It would be very helpful if a chart were developed that showed the dates that the versions were released.

Each series is incremented sequentially, we will go through a lot more Ts than Vs (or Rs).
The R tags are updated as we process each mission with the R2022 configuration.
Stay up with the highest numbered R tag for now (V tag once we get through the missions) and you'll have the latest.
If you look at https://oceandata.sci.gsfc.nasa.gov/manifest/tags/ you can see the date each tag was made...if that matters to you.
