I think what you’re looking for is the GEDI L1B Geolocated Waveform Data (https://lpdaac.usgs.gov/products/gedi01_bv002/). This product provides geolocated corrected and smoothed waveforms, which when plotted gives you the ‘pulse shape’. The GEDI_L1B_V2_Tutorial.ipynb tutorial in https://git.earthdata.nasa.gov/projects/LPDUR/repos/gedi-v2-tutorials/browse repository will walk you through the process of plotting a specified GEDI shot. I’d recommend using Earthdata Search to find the GEDI scene that intersects with your area of interest. Next download that scene and run through the tutorial.
