regarding Zeu (Euphotic depth) monthly data download

I want to download MODIS, Zeu (Euphotic depth) monthly data using L3 browser (https://oceancolor.gsfc.nasa.gov/l3/) from ocean color web. It is not showing in L3 products. However in direct data access, daily products are available.

Is there any link where from I can downloaded binned monthly Zeu data (e.g daily data A2019365.L3m_DAY_ZLEE_Zeu_lee_4km.nc like this is available in direct access ) ?

You can certainly get Euphotic Depth from the Level 3 browser. Just change your settings in the dropdowns to the following:

Product Status: Special
Sensor: MODIS-Aqua
Product: Euphotic Depth

Also, check the linked text "Product Status" on the Level 3 browser to see which products are in which status and availability for each mission so you know how to find them.

No, with the R2022 reprocessing, we have discontinued production of the Zeu product.

Is it possible to still download Zeu from past reprocessings? (I couldn't find the data folders for the 2018 reprocessing.)

It was an evaluation product so we don't maintain earlier versions.
There are a few L3 bin products remaining. You can map them with SeaDAS.
Otherwise the L3 maps have been removed.

Thanks Tommy! Was the decision to remove this product based on the degrading orbit of Aqua, or something else? I notice that the MERIS ZLEE euphotic depth is still a data product in the 2022 reprocessing, so it still seems like it is considered a useful product for other platforms. I'm wondering if there is a reason why, pre-Aqua orbit degradation, the euphotic depth calculations for MODIS-Aqua should not be trusted but from other platforms (e.g. MERIS) is still considered good.

We are reworking all of the L4 (derived from L3) products (GSM,ZLEE,QAA) from the prior reprocessing.
The MERIS data were reprocessed before the decision was made. I will be hiding them from the public.
