Which band is used in particle size retrievals in SatCORPS?
I'm wondering which band is used to retrieve particle size (cloud effective radius) in CER_GEO_ED4_HIM08_NH_V01.2 (or SH), 2.3 or 3.9 μm? It uses SatCORPS algorithm from NASA Langley Research Center. Furthermore, are there any existing documents or literature mentioned the band so that I can refer to?

Hello imnbakerstreet,
The particle size in the GEO dataset is from the 3.9 mm band.
As far as documentation, please look at the following webpages.
https://asdc.larc.nasa.gov/project/CERES/CER_GEO_Ed4_HIM08_NH_V01.2
https://asdc.larc.nasa.gov/project/CERES/CER_GEO_Ed4_HIM08_SH_V01.2
I hope this answers your question.
