MCD19A1
Hi,
I am currently doing research on PM2.5 prediction by using both ground based and satellite data using Machine Learning approach. From Satellite data I am using MODIS Aqua/Terra combined product (MCD19A2 - Optical_Depth_550) and now I want to use MCD19A1 product surface reflectance green band aligned with MCD19A2 optical_depth_550 but not sure which one band should I use from surf_rel1-12. either surf_refl4 or other band but should be green band. please help me out.
Thanks in advance

Re: MCD19A1
Hello,
Sorry for the delay. We wanted to get confirmation about this from the PI/Developer of the MAIAC product because Band 4, 11, and 12 fall with in the green wavelength. He did confirm what we suspected, it is Band 4 that is aligned with the MCD19A2 optical_depth_550. Please let us know if you have any further questions.
Thanks,
Brett

Absolutely, please go to the MODIS Overview site as that has lots of great information including the complete list of the 36 MODIS spectral bands and there pertinent information: https://lpdaac.usgs.gov/data/get-started-data/collection-overview/missions/modis-overview/
Thanks,
Brett

Re: MCD19A1
Hello,
MODIS true color band combination is 1,4,3 RGB. You may need to stretch it sometimes, but that should do it.
Thanks,
Brett
