TRMM LIS Spatial Filter for download not working

I would like to download the .nc files for lightning for India between 2005-2010, however the spatial filter does not seem to function. I tried uploading both a .zip folder and then a .geojson file for India's country boundaries and had the same issue both times: the filtered data is either a seemingly random subset of data or it doesn't filter it at all.

I am accessing earth data from my chrome browser on a macOS 13 (22C65).

I would like to filter the data before downloading it as it is so much data -- I would be very grateful for any suggestions!

It's an Earthdata Search issue. We're aware of the issue and Earthdata Search is fixing it. The fix should be pushed to production sometime this month. We will let you know when the fix is live.
