VNP46A2 - VIIRS/NPP Gap-Filled Lunar BRDF-Adjusted Nighttime Lights Daily Extended GAP

by mthsdiniz_cargill » Mon Jun 17, 2024 7:06 am America/New_York

Hi LP DAAC team,

Usually, the VNP46A2 granules normally lag twelve days from the current date, but last week i noticed they were lagging 25 days. It seems this week about 5 days worth of data were added to the archive but the data is still lagging 23 days.

Should we expect from now on this GAP os is it a transient issue related to this viewtopic.php?t=5558 ?

Thanks!

Yes, you are correct, the data gap and delay in processing is because of the impact of the GPS Anomaly posted on the forum and at:
https://ladsweb.modaps.eosdis.nasa.gov/alerts-and-issues/143045
We should be able to resume the C1 processing and take it up from that day on wards, but will not get processed soon, might take a week or two. Also, please take note of disabling VIIRS Collection version 1 data:
