I am trying to use the MODCSR_8 data (https://ladsweb.modaps.eosdis.nasa.gov/missions-and-measurements/products/MODCSR_8), but it seems the geolocation data for the 25km equal area grid is not provided. In addition, I cannot find any user guides or other relevant documentation for this dataset that might help me understand the grid.
I would really appreciate it if someone could help me out!

Here is a response from the MODCSR_8 product producer:
" While the Collection 6.1 MODCSR_8 products can be accessed on the MODIS LAADS DAAC website, it is important to know that they were created solely for internal use and lack official documentation. Therefore, they will not be publicly available in Collection 7.
I have attached the Fortran code (get_grid_indexes) that creates those files to help explain the complexity of their grid structure.
I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, and I regret that I cannot provide further assistance."
