We are pleased to announce the release of SeaDAS 10.
Highlights of what's new:
- Expanded PACE Support – Now compatible with the latest Plankton, Aerosol, Cloud, ocean Ecosystem (PACE) Ocean Color Instrument (OCI), Spectro-polarimeter for Planetary Exploration one (SPEXone), and Hyper-Angular Rainbow Polarimeter #2 (HARP2) Level-2 file formats.
- New Metadata Dump Tool – Provides a complete ncdump-style textual view for convenient access to all file metadata, including global attributes and groups.
- Improved Visualization Tools – Major updates to Spectrum View, Angular View, Bathymetry, Land Mask, and OB_CLOUD Browser tools, offering smoother performance and improved stability.
- New General Preferences Interface – Centralized control of NASA OB.DAAC reader options, including flip direction, valid-pixel expressions, and band grouping.
- Installer Enhancements – Streamlined installers are now available for Windows, Linux, and Apple Silicon macOS. This release also introduces non-JRE installers, which use an existing system Java 21 installation and provide added flexibility for users who manage their own environments.
- SNAP 12 and Java 21 – Upgraded for improved stability, performance, and long-term compatibility.
Note: The SeaDAS website is in the process of migrating to NASA Earthdata. The new primary landing page is:
