Missing composite in VIIRS/NPP VNP13C1 V002 product

by magifranquesa » Mon Oct 20, 2025 10:49 am America/New_York

Dear LP DAAC team,

I am working with the VIIRS/NPP Vegetation Indices 16-Day L3 Global 0.05Deg CMG V002 (VNP13C1) product, covering the period 2012–2024.
While checking the temporal sequence, I found that one composite seems to be missing between:
VNP13C1.A2024185.002.2024213182342.h5
VNP13C1.A2024201.002.2024221220945.h5

According to the standard 8-day step in the 16-day overlapping compositing scheme, there should be a file with DOY = 193 (A2024193), corresponding approximately to July 11, 2024.

Could you please confirm if this composite was not generated?

Thank you very much for your support.

Best regards,

Hello,
Sorry for the delay. Those missing granules are now available. Please go ahead and download them and let us know if you have any questions. Thanks for you patience.
