I have used soil moisture data at different depths (0-10cm, 10-40cm, 40-100cm and 100-200cm). from FLDAS Noah Land Surface Model L4 Global Monthly 0.1 x 0.1 degree (MERRA-2 and CHIRPS) V001 (FLDAS_NOAH01_C_GL_M) at GES DISC
I want to know how this product was generated. I am unable to find that information in any document mentioned on FLDAS Noah Land Surface Model L4 Global Monthly 0.1 x 0.1 degree (MERRA-2 and CHIRPS) V001 (FLDAS_NOAH01_C_GL_M) at GES DISC
Similarly, I have used windspeed and surface air temperature from MERRA-2.
I want to know how these two products were generated. I am unable to find that information in any document mentioned on GES DISC Dataset: MERRA-2 tavgM_2d_flx_Nx: 2d,Monthly mean,Time-Averaged,Single-Level,Assimilation,Surface Flux Diagnostics V5.12.4 (M2TMNXFLX 5.12.4)
Could someone please the document with me where I can find how these data products were generated?

Re: Seeking data generation information
Hi, I can't speak for FLDAS products. However, MERRA-2 is a well documented atmospheric reanalysis. Please see the GMAO documentation page, especially the Gelaro et al (2017) article for the project overview.
https://gmao.gsfc.nasa.gov/gmao-products/merra-2/documentation_merra-2/
Near surface wind speed and temperature are from the surface layer parameterization, which is discussed in the Molod et al. article. These are closer to a model generated quantity than an assimilated observation. Further, be aware that reanalyses are observation based level 4 data products, not a pure observation field.
Journal article searches including your research topic with a MERRA-2 key word should help you find research with MERRA-2 in your interests.

For FLDAS, see the Hydrology Mission Guide here: https://disc.gsfc.nasa.gov/information/mission-project?title=Hydrology#section+3. There are links here to the LDAS website and to the major journal papers documenting the FLDAS project (which are all linked on the dataset landing page and in the readme document).
