I am developing a lightning prediction system for Sri Lanka and need to combine point‑based lightning observations with gridded or station‑based meteorological data. Suppose I have a lightning flash recorded at 13:00 local time at latitude 7.3°N, longitude 80.7°E. What is the best practice to bring all relevant variables (e.g., pressure, wind, temperature, humidity, CAPE) into the same “frame” as this lightning event?
