VNP15A2H, instability in downloading 2025-11-17 data
Dear EarthData Forum,
good morning.
I'm writing to report that when I open https://search.earthdata.nasa.gov/search?q=VNP15A2H&qt=2025-11-24T00%3A00%3A00.000Z%2C to download the granules of the product VNP15A2H for the 8-day period of 17-24 November 2025, only 214 of 286 granules appear, following a decrease of granules number which I'm seeing since last week: they were 284 on Friday, 241 and then 234 yesterday.
Moreover, clicking the link of a granule, the error in the attached screenshot is triggered.
Please, could you kindly check this and let me know if the 284 granules downloaded on last Friday are reliable or are you replacing all the granules of the 17-24 November 2025 period?
Many thanks in advance.
Kind regards,
Diego

Re: VNP15A2H, instability in downloading 2025-11-17 data
Hi dmagni,
thanks for sharing this. I am receiving the same error code for a different data set and also see a steadily declining number in the granules. I wasted 6 hours this morning figuring out what the problem is from my side, but it seems that there is something wrong from on the Earthdata Search site, given that you see the same error code. Hopefully, this will be fixed soon.

Re: VNP15A2H, instability in downloading 2025-11-17 data
Hi @dmagni and @elafritz It looks like CMR is having issues again this morning. The CMR team is working on a fix. The inadvertent data removal is related to the CMR issue and is not related to the dataset or changes to the data itself. The data are still valid. The CMR team expects a fix in place by this afternoon (Central Time) but did note they are working on a longer fix that will be released later. I apologize for the inconvenience.

Dear @dgolon,
many thanks for your reply, for the fixing and for confirming that data are reliable.
Don't hesitate to ask me any test if you need to check the long-term fix.

Dear LP DAAC, @dgolon,
thanks for uploading all the granules which were present on Friday 28 November.
I report that in that number, 2 granules were missing to get all the 286 tiles: 'h10v11' and 'h16v09'.
Can I ask you to check also this aspect?
Many thanks in advance.

HI @dmagni Thanks for mentioning that. We are looking into those two granules. I'll report back when I have additional information. CMR is having issues again this morning, the CMR team is working on resolving the issue. We are checking to see if this is related or unrelated. Either way, we hope to have an answer for you in the next couple of hours. Thanks!

Hi Diego,
Those 2 VNP15A2H granules are now available. It appears that the CR is working well now. Thanks for your patience.
Brett
