seadas 7.4 gpt.sh error

by oo_processing » Mon Mar 13, 2017 3:37 pm America/New_York

Similar to the GUI issue (my GUI seems to work so far, but have not tested the gpt in the GUI), except that I don't see a "Caused by":

7.3 Worked fine:
searobin 154 :/tmp/S4P_ROI_H5_MODISA.CWFL.2017.070_version_0.02_qdK3Vg1I> which gpt.sh
/optics1/software/seadas/seadas-7.3/bin/gpt.sh
searobin 155 :/tmp/S4P_ROI_H5_MODISA.CWFL.2017.070_version_0.02_qdK3Vg1I> gpt.sh A20170701850.xml A20170701850.QKM.CWFL.L2_LAC_OC

7.4 fails:
searobin 101 :/tmp/S4P_ROI_H5_MODISA.CWFL.2017.070_version_0.02_qdK3Vg1I> which gpt.sh
/optics1/software/seadas/seadas-7.4/bin/gpt.sh
searobin 102 :/tmp/S4P_ROI_H5_MODISA.CWFL.2017.070_version_0.02_qdK3Vg1I> gpt.sh A20170701850.xml A20170701850.QKM.CWFL.L2_LAC_OC

Error: java.lang.NullPointerException

I do have to set JAVA_HOME in gpt.sh
export JAVA_HOME=/usr/java/jdk1.8.0_77/jre

And have to comment out the line
#. "$SEADAS_HOME/bin/detect_java.sh"

As it doesn't respect the JAVA_HOME var set (and want to default to the system java which is too old)

Please update the "NASA OBPG Ocean Color Product Reader" module of SeaDAS 7.4 if  you haven't done so and let us know if you still have the error.

Please see the link below for details:
