The Near-Real-Time AMSR2 EASE-Grid Daily Global Ice Concentration and Snow Extent V001data that was originally downloaded in near real-time was missing ice concentration from October 4 through November 16, 2025. Your December 11, 2025 data announcement flag the problem and said it has been corrected.
However, I have downloaded files from Earthdata Search on December 18, 2025 for October 5, 7, 8, and 15 that continue to have missing sea ice extension.
The other interesting thing is that within the file (for example NISE_AMSR2_20251005.HDFEOS) the production time is
OBJECT = PRODUCTIONDATETIME
NUM_VAL = 1
VALUE = "2025-11-13T22:32:52.00Z"
END_OBJECT = PRODUCTIONDATETIME
However, when I review the Earthdata search details for the file it list the production time as
"productionDateTime": "2025-11-26T16:55:55.236289+00:00",
I don't know if there is a problem with the file being made available for download is an earlier version than what is coming up on the granule information or the reference time refers to something other than what is in the actual file.
NOTE: I was able to pull the Near-Real-Time SSM/I-SSMIS EASE-Grid Daily Global Ice Concentration and Snow Extent V005 for the other days impacted in the period listed above which is the version being used before the lapse in government funding.
