Missing granules for MODIS/VIIRS 8Day composites

Hi everyone,

I keep track of the availability of most tiles covering South America for MODIS/VIIRS surface reflectance composites (VNP09A1, VNP09H1, VJ109A1, VJ109H1, MOD09A1, MYD09A1), and over the past year I’ve been checking granule completeness on a regular basis. During this process, I found that some granules appear to be missing for specific dates, tiles, and products.

Based on my tracking, the following combinations are currently missing (examples shown below are from the last year):

* **2025-12-19**

* h12v10 — VNP09A1.002

* **2025-12-11**

* h12v12 — VJ109H1.002

* **2025-11-25**

* h13v12 — MYD09A1.061

* **2025-11-17**

* h12v08 — MYD09A1.061

and also:

* **2025-12-27**

* h11v09 — MOD09A1.061
* h13v11 — MOD09A1.061
* h13v11 — VNP09A1.002
* h10v09 — VNP09H1.002
* h12v09 — VNP09H1.002
* h12v10 — VNP09H1.002
* h12v11 — VNP09H1.002
* h13v12 — VNP09H1.002

but these might be under update and have yet to be complete, I don't know.

These are tiles I normally expect to be present given historical coverage, so I wanted to flag this in case others have observed the same behavior or have additional context (reprocessing, known gaps, or delays).

Can you tell me if these granules have been lost?

I can confirm that most of the granules are available, the only ones I still get missing results are for the VNP09A1 product, the tiles and dates are as follows:

2025-12-19: h12v10
2025-12-27: h13v11

can you confirm that?
