Subscription Edits and Access

by oceani » Sat Feb 14, 2026 12:38 pm America/New_York

I edited a few of our subscriptions a yesterday (only to expand the coverages a bit), and now they seem to not be working. Example subscription IDs are 2926, 2896, 3554 and 3077. Now I am unable to even reach the data subscription management page. I can get to: https://oceandata.sci.gsfc.nasa.gov/data_dashboard, however when I click on the 'View Active' button, I get an error page (https://oceandata.sci.gsfc.nasa.gov/subscriptions/list?) that directs me to other pages. Is subscription management now done differently? I need to get to my subscriptions to see if I can repair whatever is making them not work any more.

Thanks!

Hello, please make sure to login via the login button or by following the redirect to Earthdata Login. Once you're logged in the Data Dashboard should let you get to each subscription. I am able to see all 4 of them. What is missing is 'end date' values. Please set end dates on your subscriptions to one year or less. The due date requirement has been the only change. It was done to make sure our systems are not overworked by orphaned subscriptions.

Once your subscription is near its ending timeframe, you will get an email to renew your subscription. Then you'll need to return to the data dashboard and update the end date to the next year if you'd like to keep it active.

Let us know if you are still unable to see your subscriptions and we will update them for you.

This morning I tried again and verified that I am logged in. I can see the "logout" button. From my Data Dashboard, if I click on the View Active button, it takes me to a page that says I have no subscriptions of any kind. It states that I have "No non-extracted data subscriptions found", "No join extracted data subscriptions found" and "No extracted data subscriptions found." If I enter a specific subscription ID using the Search by ID button, the system tells me that none of my subscriptions exist. Hopefully by subscriptions did not get erased. Please advise on how to proceed. Thanks. Mark

Update: I went directly to the Earth Data login site, logged out and then logged back in using the credentials we've been using for a very long time (user name=oceani). Proceeded to the subscriptions page and it still tells me that I have no subscriptions. I can tell that our subscriptions (we have many) are all operational except for the ones I edited (and forgot to set the end date) because we continue to receive updated data from them. How can I regain access to my active subscriptions? In the mean time, if you can set the end date to some time in the future for these subscription IDs, I'd appreciate it: 2925, 2896, 2898, 3553, 3554, 2897, 3077, 3551, 984 and 2924. Not sure all of these were changed without updating the end date, but once I gain access to my subscription page again, I'll go in and double check everything. Thanks very much for your help -Mark
