HELP_Unable to Access or Download MERRA-2 GMI Dataset tavg24_3d_adf_Nv

I am currently facing difficulties accessing and downloading the MERRA-2 GMI product “tavg24_3d_adf_Nv” from all available sources, including OPeNDAP (https://opendap.nccs.nasa.gov/dods/merra2_gmi/) and HTTPS (https://portal.nccs.nasa.gov/datashare/merra2_gmi/). The data access link provided on the official MERRA-2 GMI product landing page is returning a “problem loading page” error. In addition, this specific product does not appear to be listed or searchable within the GES DISC data portal.

I would like to access and download this dataset to my local system or use it through cloud-based workflows (e.g., via **earthaccess**). I would appreciate any guidance on the correct data access method, available endpoints, or alternative sources for obtaining this product.

Following up on my previous post regarding access issues with the MERRA-2 GMI product tavg24_3d_adf_Nv, I have a few clarifications and requests:

Local Network Status: I have identified that the primary access block is likely due to my institutional LAN configuration. I am working with local IT to resolve this.

But it highlights the need for more flexible access methods that don't rely on large, direct HTTPS downloads.

Subsetting Requirement: The global files for this 3D product are quite large. I am looking for a way to subset the data by variable, geographic region (lat/lon), and time before downloading. I would prefer to avoid downloading the entire global dataset if possible.

Cloud-Native Access: I am interested in using cloud-based workflows, specifically via the earthaccess library etc., to analyze the data without a full local download.

Could the team please provide:

• The specific Short Name or Concept ID to use for this product in earthaccess or CMR searches?
  A sample Python code snippet using xarray and earthaccess (or OPeNDAP) that demonstrates how to stream a spatial subset of tavg24_3d_adf_Nv into memory?
