Accessing 6-Min L2 Swath 375m data beyond NRT.

Hello,

I am trying to access the VIIRS LST 375 m swath product (VNP21IMG) for research and model training purposes. On the Earthdata catalog page for VNP21IMG_NRT (https://www.earthdata.nasa.gov/data/catalog/lancemodis-vnp21img-nrt-2
) it states a temporal coverage of 2023–present, but I can only retrieve files from the last ~7 days when using the NRT archive (nrt3.modaps.eosdis.nasa.gov/.../VNP21IMG_NRT/...).

My understanding from other VIIRS LST products (e.g., VNP21 at 750 m) is that science products are archived long-term and can be downloaded historically via LAADS/LP DAAC. I cannot find any equivalent long-term archive for the 375 m swath LST product either on LAADS (allData/5200/VNP21IMG/…) or via Earthdata Search when filtering for a non-NRT product.

Could you please clarify:

1. Whether an archived, non-NRT version of VNP21IMG (375 m) exists with full historical coverage beyond the NRT rolling window?

2. If it exists, what is the correct product name/identifier and archive path (LAADS API, Earthdata Search, etc.)?

3. If it does not exist, whether there are plans to archive the 375 m LST swath product historically?

Near Real Time (NRT) data are available for only current and six to seven previous days. For long term data you can explore regular products from ladsweb:

Thank you for your response! Yes, I understand that NRT data are only available for recent time. My question was more so trying to understand whether a corresponding VNP21IMG product exists to the VNP21IMG_NRT product, in the same way that VNP21_NRT <-> VNP21 (ie. the same data can be accessed both in near real time but also in historical archive).

But as I can not seem to find it on the catalog links that you provided, I assume this does not exist.
