Download of the GRDI and GPWv4 datasets from their respective landing pages requires login through the Earthdata Login application. Creating an earthdata login account is quick and easy, and should be available on all landing pages to assist you in down-loading the data through the 'Get Data' links. However, I'm not seeing a Log-In button on these landing pages, so while we address that issue, I suggest the following work around:
1. In the browser of your choice, open https://search.earthdata.nasa.gov
2. Log into this search and data access tool by clicking on the 'Log In' button. (The log-in button is located in the upper right hand corner of the page. You might see a red box covering it, it so dismiss that box. If you don't already have an earthdata login account, creating one is easy and only takes a few seconds.
3. Once you are logged in, enter GRDI in the search box and hit the return key.
4. On the right hand side of the page you should see the full dataset title, Global Gridded Relative Deprivation Index (GRDI), Version 1, click on it and use the down arrow to next to the list of available files displayed in tabular format.
5. If you prefer to download the entire dataset, you can click the blue download all button, and follow the available prompts to select bulk download options that best meet your needs.
6. To continue on and download another product, you can use your browser's back button take you back to the Earthdata Search box, click the trashcan icon to clear your previous search, then enter GPWv4 or whatever you might be searching for, then explore the available data products displayed in tabular format on the right hand side of the page.
7. The Earthdata Search tool is a very convenient way to discover and use NASA earth science data products, this post only begins to introduce it.
Please reach back out to us if you continue to have difficulty with data access.
