No new RF consolidated files since 14 March

Our source for .25 degree OISST data is undergoing a server change that has delayed delivery of refined products.(see notice below)

The latest data available to us is for 2017-03-15. Once the refined OISST products become available, our production of refined Ocean Color products will resume.

=============================================================================
Notice to Users:  Processing Update

The daily OISST is moving to a new access location (ftp will not work): https://www.ncei.noaa.gov/data/sea-surface-temperature-optimum-interpolation/access/. The files will now be in folders named by year-month (YYYYMM). The filenames will not change. For now, the files are exactly the same (netCDF3) as the ones in the old location. The preliminary output will be available ~ 7:30 am ET, and the final will be available 16 days later.

Production is moving to a 64-bit machine, and new files will be in netCDF4, which have internal compression, so the filename will not end in *.gz. The filenames older than March 28, 2017 will still be in netCDF3 format.  The old access locations will no longer be supported after March. Binary format will no longer be produced.

THREDDS access will move to https://www.ncei.noaa.gov/thredds/blended-global/oisst-catalog.html.

No new RF consolidated files since 14 March

Hi,
It seems that the refined files (NASA L2 & L3 VIIRS) for the period 2017-02-22 - 2017-03-15 have been reprocessed the 28th of March 2017.
The plot attached shows that this reprocessing has fixed an issue (the dash blue/red line shows the median value of RRS412 4km L3 products
before and after).
I suppose it is linked to the current topic (OISST change) or maybe I have missed another topic.
Thank You again for your efficient service.
Philippe

You saw that, eh?  There was a LUT configuration error that resulted in an incorrect temporal extrapolation that affected the data.
So, yes, they were reprocessed.
