Problem with geolocating an extracted VIIRS JPSS1 file

by monger » Thu May 07, 2026 2:08 pm America/New_York

Hi-- I am trying to geolocate an extracted VIIRS JPSS1 file and getting some errors (see below). The file was extracted (subscened) file was requested via EarthData Search Portal and then processed/extracted via OB.DAAC and retrieved from the OB.DAAC. Similarly extracted files for VIIRS SNPP and JPSS2 instruments can be successfully geolocated. So, it seems the problem lies with just with the JPSS1 extracted files. I am using seadas-11 (tag V2026.2). I also updated all luts and still have the error. Any advice is welcome! :)
