Missing granules for VIIRS products on 2026-04-23

I hope you are doing well.

I would like to ask whether there is any known delay or issue affecting the availability of some VIIRS surface reflectance products.

Specifically, I noticed that the following products appear to be missing granules for the acquisition date 2026-04-23:

VNP09A1
VNP09H1
VJ109A1
VJ109H1

Could you please confirm whether these granules are delayed, temporarily unavailable, or if there is any processing issue affecting this date?

I've seen that there is an issue with NPP data in https://landweb.modaps.eosdis.nasa.gov/displayissue?id=1344. Is this the cause for the delay?

This information would be very helpful for understanding whether we should wait for the data to be published or handle this date as a permanent gap in our processing workflow.

Hi @savee That would have impacted the VNP09A1 and VNP09H1 data. Additional information can also be found here: https://www.earthdata.nasa.gov/data/alerts-outages/data-outage-alert-suomi-npp-near-real-time-nrt-standard-products We are looking into why the VJ109A1 and VJ109H1 data are behind. We will report back when we have additional information on why those are delayed.
