GES DISC OPeNDAP service works fine with Panoply (even with `https`, not `dap4`):

Re: [Q] TEMPO_RADT_L1 OPeNDAP Service?
After additional testing and discussion with the OPeNDAP in the cloud team, we do not recommend using Panoply’s remote access method to access TEMPO data. TEMPO data are in the cloud and have OPeNDAP in the cloud links—the example you provided of data that work are from GES DISC’s on-prem OPeNDAP. Currently, direct access of DAP4 through Panoply via OPeNDAP in the cloud is not performant for files with large variables. We would recommend downloading the TEMPO data first to view in Panoply or using different access methods—like the Python tutorial listed above to access the data via OPeNDAP.
Please let us know if any assistance is needed with the alternate access methods.
