Unable to properly import and georeference NASA AVIRIS 5 data in ENVI

Currently we are accessing AVIRIS 5 images here https://popo.jpl.nasa.gov/mmgis-aviris/?mission=GEMx.
We are aware that there is a search and filter data portal, but we are unable to filter any data from AVIRIS 5 or EOSDIS. (https://search.earthdata.nasa.gov/search) We even tried copy and pasting the AVIRIS image name into the search feature, but nothing shows up.

So when we download an image from the first link, we get an "NC File". I tried following the steps here fpor importing into ENVI https://www.nv5geospatialsoftware.com/docs/OpenHierarchicalData.html but upon importing, there is no information to assign bands, georeference etc. and I cannot find any documentation or labels for band information or spectral labels as a .hdr file. As of now, we can import the orthocorrected reflectance data but ENVI fails to georeference the images properly or assign bands. There are other metadata issues but those are not as important. The NC Files show units in UTM, and when clicking on the pixel it will show as the default WGS coordinates. When we try to edit the metadata or use one of the tools, the system either crashes or generates an IDL type error.

The service reps at Harris Geospatial pointed the finger to here and said it was not an ENVI issue, rather a NASA issue.

simply importing and just being able to work with the images has been a huge issue. Any advice helps!
