Calibrated L-band data from the NASA-ISRO Synthetic Aperture Radar (NISAR) mission are now available through the Alaska Satellite Facility Distributed Active Archive Center (ASF DAAC) and NASA Earthdata. The initial public release began on July 20, 2026, and includes observations acquired on or after June 17, 2026.
This is the first release of NISAR L-band science data. Additional observations will be added as processing is completed, and earlier data collected during the mission's first year of science operations will be released over the coming months. The full science record is expected to be available by the end of 2026.
NISAR products can be discovered through NASA's Earthdata Search or explored in the ASF Vertex data search tool. Programmatic access is also available through ASF SearchAPI and the asf_search Python package.

Re: NISAR L-Band Data Now Publicly Available
Thank you for making the NISAR Provisional products publicly available.
I was pleased to find that data for my local area are already available. My first step will be to evaluate the GUNW products using observations from my region.
I appreciate all the hard work of the NISAR and ASF teams.
