New GCMD Keyword Request

Hi! NSIDC would like to request the following three GCMD keywords be added under Projects:

1)
Long Name: Nimbus Data Rescue
Short Name: Nimbus Data Rescue

Definition: The NSIDC DAAC Nimbus data rescue collection presents composites of digitized black-and-white film images and infrared radiometer data from NASA Nimbus satellites, showing sea ice conditions from the mid-1960s through the mid-1980. Although Nimbus data products do not provide continuous observations, they do extend the satellite record of sea ice data 14 years before the continuous record started. Nimbus observations can be used to study how sea ice has changed over several decades.

Long Name: Advanced Microwave Scanning Radiometer Unified
Short Name: AMSR Unified

Definition: The Advanced Microwave Scanning Radiometer Unified (AMSR Unified) collection includes spatially resampled Level 1R (L1R) passive microwave data products, including brightness temperature, sea ice concentration, water vapor content, precipitation, and derived products. The AMSR-U collection unifies data from the Advanced Microwave Scanning Radiometer - Earth Observing System Sensor (AMSR-E) sensor and the Advanced Microwave Scanning Radiometer2 (AMSR2) sensor.

Long Name: AMSR-E Validation
Short Name: AMSR-E VAL

Definition: The AMSR-E validation data collection includes data products from a series of validation campaigns. These data products characterized and documented the accuracy and precision of Advanced Microwave Scanning Radiometer - Earth Observing System Sensor (AMSR-E) observations and their derived products. Beyond validating AMSR-E observations, these campaigns generated observations and measurements that can be used in research independently of AMSR-E mission data.
