I am trying to register for a NASA ARSET training, but I am unable to access the Earthdata website because I receive the following error:
403 ERROR – The request could not be satisfied.
“Request blocked. We can't connect to the server for this app or website at this time. There might be too much traffic or a configuration error.”

The link for L3m download at https://www.earthdata.nasa.gov/data/tools/ocean-color-level-3-4-browser sometimes worked, and I could download it in the meantime. However, it stopped working again yesterday and today.
The link https://oceandata.sci.gsfc.nasa.gov/l3/ has also expired.

@mafy_0355 In case this happens again, in the future please reach out to ARSET directly: https://www.earthdata.nasa.gov/data/projects/arset/contact I believe for this training they extended the deadline but if you are still having issues let us know.

Hi Claudia @comachi -- I have a message out to the OB DAAC team but it does look like https://www.earthdata.nasa.gov/data/tools/ocean-color-level-3-4-browser and https://oceandata.sci.gsfc.nasa.gov/l3/ are working for me right now, in the meantime please clear your cache and try again. It could be that we had an issue over night.

Thanks for the rapid reply. I tried again https://oceandata.sci.gsfc.nasa.gov/l3/ and it keeps expiring. I cleared the cache of Firefox as suggested but it did not work. I could download some data in August after some oscillation on the same link on the same day, without clearing the cache. I just tried on the Edge web browser, but it timed out.

Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated.

This is embarassing and I wonder whether this is happening just with me.
Since my last message saying that the link https://oceandata.sci.gsfc.nasa.gov/l3/ was working, I could request to subset some L3m chlorophyll data and confirm the request through the dashboard.
Usually, the data are ready to download in a couple of minutes. It has been more than four hours now and I have not received any news about the data, and the dashboard is inaccessible now.
The same link https://oceandata.sci.gsfc.nasa.gov/l3/ is not working again by timing out.

The link has been oscillating since August and I could sometimes request the L3m chlorophyll data and download them but now, I have been trying to request and download them for two days...

Any help is appreciated.

Without more information we are unable to pinpoint any issue and we have not been able to recreate this situation. Please share what values you are selecting or share more about your experience - at what point are you are experiencing the timeout/oscillation. Do you have screenshots to share?

It seems my internet connection oscillates when trying to reach https://oceandata.sci.gsfc.nasa.gov/l3/, even though other sites like https://forum.earthdata.nasa.gov/ work fine. I changed my connection and it is working.
