The Land Processes Distributed Active Archive Center (LP DAAC) has released the ECOSTRESS Gridded Weight Percent Silica L3 Global 0.01 Degree Map (ECO_L3G_WPS), a new ECOSTRESS (ECOsystem Spaceborne Thermal Radiometer Experiment on Space Station) data product. ECO_L3G_WPS is a single static composite—covering years 2023 to 2024—that uses thermal infrared emissivity data to map surface silica content across Earth’s arid and semi-arid regions.
