The Oak Ridge National Laboratory Distributed Active Archive Center (ORNL DAAC) released new and appended datasets for the Carbon Monitoring System project.
BlueFlux Airborne Trace Gases, Fluxes, and Mixing Ratios, Southern Florida, 2022-2024 (new files appended to the existing dataset)
This dataset includes airborne in situ measurements of greenhouse gas mixing ratios, meteorological parameters, and fluxes (CO2, CH4, latent heat fluxes, friction velocity, and convective velocity scale) calculated with wavelet transforms. CO2, CH4, CO, O3, and water vapor mixing ratios, and meteorological variables were obtained from a Beechcraft A90 King Air aircraft. Flight lines span Everglades National Park (ENP) and Big Cypress National Preserve (BCNP) in southern Florida, USA. The measurements were used to calculate vertical fluxes of trace gases and heat via wavelet transform eddy covariance.

Aboveground Biomass and Cover, ALOS PALSAR ScanSAR, Greater Kruger NP, S Africa, 2018
This dataset contains estimates of aboveground woody biomass density (AGBD) and woody canopy cover from the Greater Kruger National Park region, South Africa in September 2018 at 100-m resolution. Estimates were derived from data from the Phased Array L-band Synthetic Aperture Radar-2 (PALSAR-2) on the ALOS-2 ScanSAR using a Power Law Model (PLM) calibrated for natural savanna ecosystems. Training data for the PLM included AGBD and canopy cover from 1ha field plots derived from field measurements and Airborne laser scanning data. The PLM then used ALOS 2 PALSAR2 data to estimate AGBD and cover across the study area.

North American Land Carbon Reanalysis, 2012-2024
This dataset provides a gridded ensemble of continental-scale carbon and water budgets at 0.00833-degree (~1 km) resolution across North America from 2012 to 2024. The data streams were generated using a hybrid State Data Assimilation (SDA) framework implemented within the Predictive Ecosystem Analyzer (PEcAn v1.10.0). This Level 4 product provides annualized snapshots (fixed to July 15th) of critical carbon and water stocks. It includes 100 ensemble members and summary statistics (mean and standard deviation) for aboveground vegetation biomass, leaf area index, root-zone soil moisture, and column-integrated soil organic carbon.

CARDAMOM Carbon-Water-Energy Reanalysis v1100.1, 2001-2021
This dataset provides global, monthly estimates of terrestrial biosphere carbon, water, and energy cycling states and fluxes for 2001-2021, generated using the CARbon DAta MOdel fraMework (CARDAMOM) at 4 x 5-degree spatial resolution. The primary reanalysis outputs include monthly gridded estimates of seven carbon pools (non-structural carbohydrates, foliar, fine root, wood, litter, coarse woody debris, and soil organic matter), three soil water pools, three corresponding energy states, and a snow water equivalent pool, along with associated carbon, water, and energy fluxes.
