How to convert SeaWIFS Rrs to nLw

by danieldeng » Thu May 11, 2017 10:37 pm America/New_York

Hello every,

I want to convert SeaWIFS Rrs to nLw, using the F0 value in the solar_irradiance attribute for the band, but where can I find F0 value.

Best regards,
Daniel

In the file's metadata, e.g.  ncdump -h V2016137024800.L2_SNPP_OC.nc|grep Rrs_443:

        short Rrs_443(number_of_lines, pixels_per_line) ;
                Rrs_443:long_name = "Remote sensing reflectance at 443 nm" ;
                Rrs_443:scale_factor = 2.e-06f ;
                Rrs_443:add_offset = 0.05f ;
                Rrs_443:units = "sr^-1" ;
                Rrs_443:standard_name = "surface_ratio_of_upwelling_radiance_emerging_from_sea_water_to_downwelling_radi
ative_flux_in_air" ;
                Rrs_443:_FillValue = -32767s ;
                Rrs_443:valid_min = -30000s ;
                Rrs_443:valid_max = 25000s ;
                Rrs_443:solar_irradiance = 1887.541f ;    <--- here...
