The NASA Goddard Earth Sciences Data and Information Services Center (GES DISC) has published its analysis of anomalies and extremes in global surface air temperatures and precipitation for the month of February 2020.
The assessment uses:
1. Atmospheric Infrared Sounder (AIRS) surface air temperatures, variable "SurfAirTemp", from daily grid files.
2. Precipitation Measurement Missions IMERG Late Daily precipitation rates, variable "precipitationCal", clustered into 0.5x0.5 deg blocks.
