MODIS L2 Bulk Download

I am trying to get all MODIS L2 OC data over Florida from 2002 to present. I placed a data order through the ocean color portal roughly 24 hours ago, but I haven't received any confirmation or communication from the system. What is the typical turnaround time of the system? I don't know if my order is actually being processed, or if I need to resubmit something.

Where would I find the order ID? Like I say, I never got any confirmation from the system and I don't know where to look.

Normally if you place an order for data and select that you do want your data extracted, as opposed to getting the full-sized granules, you receive an email with the subject, "Your order [N]" where N is your order ID. If you did not receive that message, check your spam/junk folder. Perhaps also double check that the email address that is registered to the Earthdata account you use to log into our web site is what you expect.

I did specify in the order for the data to be extracted, but I have checked all folders in the email address registered to my account and I didn't receive anything. Does this mean the order wasn't actually taken by the system? I can try to submit the order again if you think that's best.

Yes, I would say try submitting it again. The web application sends the email after a successful submission, and it should arrive within a minute after the last place-order button is clicked. The web app should present a confirmation page with info and instructions.

I tried to submit the order again about 15 min ago. Again, I haven't gotten any email confirmation. Also, after reviewing the order and pressing the place order button, I wasn't sent to a confirmation page, I was just redirected back to the ocean color data browser.

We have seen odd cases like this caused by old, stale cookies or cached files. Can you clear your cache and relevant cookies (anything from nasa.gov) and restart your browser or even try a different browser?

I will also check with the web devels to see if they can find any error messages in the log.

We might have identified a problem. Can you try submitting the order again after you see this message?

I submitted the order again, and this time I did receive the confirmation page and email response. I replied to that email as instructed to confirm the order, so I now will get a second email giving me further instructions?
