One of the community I am trying to download for is Cordova, Alaska (Lat: 60.489, Lon: -145.451). Please let me know if it is possible or where I should be looking for these information. Thank you!!

Thank you for your question. I would like to suggest you start by reading the following file specific document for selecting the data collection that contains the wind:
https://gmao.gsfc.nasa.gov/pubs/docs/Bosilovich785.pdf

The following data How-to may help to download and process the data:

Hello. What temporal resolution are you seeking? There are a variety of data products that could be used, ranging from monthly averages to hourly values.

I am looking for data in hourly values at a height of about 100 meters or so.

The link below will provide the hourly wind data variables that are available in Giovanni. There is no data product specific for 100 meters above the surface; several of the products are for a height of 10 meters above the surface.

If you can use 3-hourly temporal resolution data, you can also choose pressure levels, including 975, 950, 925, and 900 hectoPascals.

Please reply for additional information and assistance, if needed.
