HICO Level 2 - Rrs data

by testth » Mon Jan 23, 2017 7:19 am America/New_York

I used l2gen of SeaDAS 7.3.2 to produce HICO Level 2 products. I found only the Rrs from 352 nm to 719 nm in the Level 2 file. I tried to change the product options but the Level 2 file did not contain Rrs behind 719 nm. Is it possible to produce Rrs behind 719 nm to investigate for instance very turbid waters?

HICO Level 2 - Rrs data

No.  Not yet at least.
The l2gen program was originally developed for multispectral sensors with the only bands above 720nm used for aerosol retrieval.  Rrs is clamped to 720nm in the code.
HICO is the first hyperspectral instrument l2gen can process, and we are still refining that capability.  A future release will likely remove the 720nm limit on Rrs.
